Current membership dues are $23 for individual/family and $35 for business. You can also purchase an associate membership for $8.00, if you are a current member of another MSA affiliated club.
Our Origins: On November 9, 1970, the Palermo Snowmobile Club was conceived by interested members of the community. A well attended first meeting formulated the plans. A motion was made and seconded, then unanimously approved to organize the club. At that meeting, the first Monday of the month was set as the designated meeting night, which remains to this day. Officers were elected. 34 Charter members formed the Club. The name of the Club was originally the "Palermo Area Snow Travelers". Dues were set at $3.00 for an individual, $5.00 for a family. At the second meeting, December 7, 1970, 2 members were appointed to design a Club emblem.
November 1, 1971, the Palermo Snowmobile Club was officially incorporated. The Club also voted to join the MSA, which had been organized in 1968. We were the 79th member Club in the State of Maine.
1972 saw the completion of the Club emblem.
1977 saw the formation of a trail mapping committee. The next conversation about it is 1992, saying they were finally completed and each member was entitled to one.
1985 shows for the first time we applied for and were approved to receive a state grant, in the amount of $750.00.
1986 saw discussion on a Club Banner. It was determined that to purchase one would be too expensive, so a club member volunteered to make one. It is still in existence today. It was retired in 2010 and a new banner completed. The original banner hangs at the Fish & Game Clubhouse.
