Work Day Sunday November 8. A good crew turned out for the workday. Gary, Doug, Nathan, Jay, his Dad, Andy and Kerry replanked the 20 foot bridge on Upper Hostile Valley Road at Jewett's and cut back the attack raspberry bushes. The Friends and Neighbors ATV Club supplied the lumber and screws and the Snowmobile Club provided the manpower as this is a dual trail bridge. They also replanked a 28 foot bridge on Plummer Road, adding a ramp to make the drag slide over it more easily. Gary, Doug and Nathan did fencing in Pillsbury's field to keep the sleds where our landowner wants them and also did signing. Tony, Cliff and Hannah cleaned up the old bridge at Rts 3 and 220 in Liberty and did signing. All in all, a very productive day. Pictures are up on the photos page. A second work day is scheduled for Sunday, November 15.
We held our annual Rabies Clinic at the Palermo Volunteer Fire Station on October 31 - yes, Halloween! Even had a few folks come in costume! We had our local veterinarians from the Windsor Vet Clinic to vaccinate dogs and cats and staff from the Palermo Town Office to license dogs for 2016. They did a total of 32 animals. Thanks very much to the Windsor Vets, the Palermo Town Office staff, Gary, Andy, Bob, Jay, Tony, Hannah, Kerry & Debbie for all the help.
